Situated near to Old Street Tube Station, this 16 storey White Collar Factory stands tall against its neighbours. Located in the heart of London’s Tech City, one of the buildings unique features is a 150 metre rooftop running track providing its residents with uninterrupted exercise from the busy streets below.

The development which was designed by award-winning architects AHMM, incorporates a new public courtyard, offices, retail and residential units and achieved ‘BREEAM 2014 Outstanding’. In 2016 it won the MIPIM UK Visionary Building of the Year award and is a popular destination for high-profile clients such as Burberry and Publicis Groupe.

We were employed by Multiplex Construction Europe, a leading Global Contractor, to work on the Derwent London owned property over the last four years providing Approved Inspector services to them.

We have valued existing relations with Derwent London and have worked on a number of significant commercial projects some of which include: the Saatchi Headquarters building, a major £140m redevelopment by Make and AEK Architects; Central Cross situated in the West End which included major alterations and extensions; and Morelands which is also a BREEAM awarded building.

‘This is a fantastic Derwent London project for us to be involved in. Early advice on the concept design proved invaluable for our management of the Building Regulation approval process.’

— Managing Director Simon Polley

White Collar Factory received two awards from the British Council for Offices’ (BCO) London region winning the Commercial Workplace and Innovation accolades. Judges commented that the project had ‘truly broken the mould’ and that it would ‘deliver lessons for office development for years to come’. The project will now be considered for the BCO’s national awards, given in October. In addition, the project won RIBA London Region Award 2018, RIBA National Award 2018 and RICS London Award for Commercial Development 2018.
