Newport Street gallery

Project: Newport Street gallery

We undertook the Building Control role for The Newport Street Gallery, formally a carpentry and scenery workshop – which won the RIBA Sterling Prize for 2016. The gallery, designed by Caruso St John, holds the private art collection of Damien Hirst and consists of three listed Victorian buildings which were remodelled and flanked at each end with new buildings.

We have undertaken several significant projects for the British Film Institute including the RIBA award-winning Film Archive Facility at Gaydon, the phased improvement of the Conservation Centre in Berkhamsted and several schemes in central London.

Project: Archive Facility & Public Exhibition Space

Client: Britten Pears Foundation

The Britten-Pears Foundation—Red House in Aldeburgh, Suffolk was established to promote the musical legacy of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears. We worked on their new archive facility and public exhibition space which was designed by Stanton Williams Architects and awarded a Best Public Building award in 2014 and a RIBA National Award in 2014.
