It is a pleasure to announce that following the successful acquisition of BRCS (Building Control) Ltd by Hickton Group in May 2017, further changes to the management team have been implemented allowing the former Managing Director, Simon Polley and Director Frank Robinson to step down from their existing management duties and responsibilities.

From the 17th May, their valuable skills and expertise will continue to be utilised for new and existing construction projects. Simon Polley will remain with the business as a Consultant to the Group and Frank Robinson a Senior Project Manager and Building Control Surveyor for BRCS.

The company has developed and grown from strength to strength since its incorporation in 1996, being one of the first three Corporate Approved Inspectors being able to offer Building Control on commercial projects across England and Wales, as an alternative to Local Authority Building Control.

In May 2017, Hickton Group (the trading name of Hickton Holdings Ltd, the holding company to both Hickton and BRCS) acquired BRCS to provide both independent services of Quality Site Inspections via its sister company Hickton and Building Control Services, as a unique service for clients.

Whilst contractually these services remain separate to one another, we are able to co-ordinate a service which champions quality and compliance in construction to benefit construction projects.

“I would like to thank Simon and Frank for establishing a business which was founded on exceptional expertise and skill to provide Building Control services for commercial projects and one which is respected by a wide range of clients. The Board and I are confident that BRCS will continue to flourish under its new management, and we are excited to see the next stage of development in the company’s journey to champion compliance in construction.”
