We were delighted to work on the re-location project for Mimosa House, an Art Gallery and Exhibition Space, which has recently taken up residence on Theobalds Road, London.

Mimosa House was founded by curator Daria Khan, and is an independent, non-profit art institution with previously and well-establish gallery space in the heart of Mayfair, London.

The project involved the conversion of a former five-storey converted Georgian house and office, previously used as solicitors practice, to accommodate the new gallery and additional office space.

Acting as Approved Inspector, on behalf of leading office fit out and refurbishment specialist – London Fit Out Ltd, we provided Building Control services in connection with the development. The overall works included the change of use from an office to form a new art gallery, replacement of the existing glazed shop front, internal alterations to improve accessibility to the ground floor and the refurbishment of existing rear extension.

“This was a very exciting cultural project for us to be part of. We have extensive expertise in this sector and were delighted to provide our Building Control expertise in relation to this project. I am looking forward to visiting the new exhibition space, when able to do so, it re-opened its doors earlier this year.”
