Project: Second Home

Client: Second Home

We are delighted to have worked on several revolutionary contemporary workspaces and cultural venues for Second Home.

Each Second Home location is unique, distinctive and striking in their creative design and are truly innovative. The Holland Park venue features a variety of plants, including trees growing directly out of the floor, whereas the Spitalfields workspace features contemporary furniture–all with an aim to create a natural environment to encourage collaboration between the people who occupy them.

These innovative hubs, founded in 2014 by Rohan Silva, are designed to inspire and support creativity and entrepreneurship for Londoners.

Project: The Loom, Whitechapel

Client: Helical Plc

The Loom, housed in a listed building, is made up of 110,000 sq. ft of modern and unique creative space for entrepreneurs, innovators and creative minds, based in Whitechaple within a former Victorian wool warehouse.

A new entrance was made accessible from Gowers Walk – complementing the large existing façade entrance – which leads into a new office reception and public access to a café. Natural light has been provided by a central atrium space, providing light to upper floors, whilst the existing entrance provides a generous amount of light.

Helical Plc appointed us as Approved Inspector, providing Building Regulation compliance and guidance on the main scheme.
