Historically all Building Control applications had to be processed through the Local Authorities until the law changed in 1996 which allowed Building Control Surveyors to form their own Approved Inspector companies.  We established ourselves as one of the first three Corporate Approved Inspectors permitted to undertake the Building Control role on commercial projects.  Employing Building Control Surveyors, we can advise on Building Control and Building Regulations throughout the duration of construction projects.

Over the years we have gained experience advising and working on both national and international buildings of heritage importance. As their Approved Inspector, we have worked on several heritage projects during various stages, for which we have provided either full Building Control services or provided Building Regulation advice on a consultancy basis.

Our involvement can either be during initial stages providing pre application advice through to being the Appointed Inspector taking full responsibility for Building Compliance throughout the whole duration and stages of construction.

We have worked on a-number of prestigious heritage projects including the Houses of Parliament in Whitehall, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Dover Castle in Kent for English Heritage and Fulham Palace House – a Grade I listed building and Botanic Gardens for our client Fulham Palace Trust.

“We enjoy and take pride working on projects of heritage importance, improving whilst preserving these sites for future generations to visit and explore.”
